Behlog History

Behlog and Son Produce is a family owned company who contributes our growth to hard work and dedicated employees. We handle a full line of fresh fruits and produce, as well as other perishables from all producing areas across the country as well as importing products from other countries. Our customer profile primarily is food service consisting of restaurants, hotels, education facilities, healthcare facilities, seasonal food service operations; as well as retail establishments. With a customer base of approximately one thousand accounts, deliveries are made six days a week throughout central New York and the northern tier of Pennsylvania.

The company was founded by Sam Behlog in 1971. Operating from a small storefront on Court Street in Binghamton, New York. Sam's son Peter Behlog joined the business in 1972 when they became partners. The business grew too big for the Court Street location and relocated to Route 11 in Kirkwood, NY in 1991. After several expansions at the Kirkwood location, the company moved to our new state-of-the-art facility in the Broome Corporate Park in November of 2003.    

Behlog and Son Produce is presently located at 400 Broome Corporate Parkway, just off Exit 1 of Interstate 81 in Conklin, NY. The 125,000 square foot facility houses all business functions and is located on a twenty-five acre site, with the ability to expand. Our facility is fully refrigerated with refrigerated shipping and receiving areas as well as state-of-the-art cooling and racking. This gives us the capabilities to establish a full and reliable cold chain. Our fleet, consisting of 25 refrigerated trucks and trailers and 60 employees, make approximately 250 deliveries daily.
